Poetry on Being Stuck

BEING STUCK The world is moving, but it feels I'm standing still, Just like a rigid and helpless hill. Which stands there unable to move, It got ideas that the world disapproves. But still it hopes for the best,  wishes for a happy sunset. The one where he is free from fears, Experiencing true happiness after many years. -Amrinder

Poem on 3-AM Thoughts

3 AM the vulnerable hour,
The one that slowly binds,
But also tears me apart.

The moon being my loyal friend,
Though miles we set apart.
It comes by my windowsill,
& tries to calm my heart.

With silence everywhere,
My thoughts scream aloud.
"What worthy have you done till now
That you seem so proud"?

To this I loose my mind.
Just like sand gushed by air,
I too lag behind.

I wish to go back in time,
& change some decisions.
But this is real life we're talking about,
It has no such conditions.

At last I say myself,
to try one last time.
To give it my all,
With consistency being prime.
To change the things now,
Rather than ugly crying.
To be a learned human,
Who has defeated failure this time.
-Amrinder

3am is a vulnerable hour. With quiet all around, all our senses are overtaken by emotions and feelings, the time when we are in our most raw and unfiltered form.

Sometimes the emotions can be really burdening. All the doubts, the fears that we keep running during the day, come back strongly at night, messing us up. Then comes the tears, which during the day were no where to be seen, but as soon we see that no one is around we let go of our mask, leaving all formalities at the back and then drowning in the feelings and emptying ourselves up. Once we are done & are back to our senses, thats when we truly see that our thoughts, our thinking was responsible for this chaos, thats when we see that everything is not as serious as we are making it in our mind. Its all in the head. Remember 'This too shall pass'. Whatever you are feeling is not permanent. Give things second chances, we never know what lies ahead. So worrying about the unknown is a waste of time. Take a deep breath, things will make sense, take chance and things will begin to change.

"For you, a thousand times over"- Kite Runner Quote Meaning

"For you, a thousand times over" This quote has been taken from the novel The Kite Runner, written by Khalid Hosseini. This quote has been used by Hassan for Amir. For You, A Thousand Times Over To me this quote is about loving someone, to an extent that you are willing to do anything and everything for them, even a thousand times over. We often associate the word love in a romantic way, but love is diverse. The kite runner depicts love of Hassan for his brother/ friend whom he lovingly called Amir Agha. This quote talks about love in which we put someone else's needs before our priorities, one is willing to do anything for the other person. This love is boundless. But, what I also want to add is self love is very important. At times we give someone such high value in our heart that we totally forget ourselves, our needs, desires, dreams etc. Love should lead to growth. The love where only one person is giving and is willing to do anything is not right. Love yoursel...

The man who planted trees is a short story by Jean Giono. This story is about a shepherd who single handedly converted a deserted land into a new forest. Book summary of the man who planted trees Summary: The story begins when the narrator decides to take a hiking trip through provence and into the alps. On his way, he reached a deserted, barren area where hardly anything grows. Only wild lavender can be found in this region. On his journey, he runs out of water and his search of water leads him to a shepherd named Elzeard Bouffier, who gave him water and took the narrator to his cottage. Curious about his way of living and laconic tone the narrator decides to stay with him for the time. He gets to know that after losing his son and wife, the old shepherd decided to reside his life in solitude. He would separate good acorns from the bad ones and plant those on the barren land. This was his attempt to bring the dying land back to life. The narrator then returns to his home. During that ...
