Poetry on Being Stuck

BEING STUCK The world is moving, but it feels I'm standing still, Just like a rigid and helpless hill. Which stands there unable to move, It got ideas that the world disapproves. But still it hopes for the best,  wishes for a happy sunset. The one where he is free from fears, Experiencing true happiness after many years. -Amrinder

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini-Review

The Kite Runner is a heartbreaking journey of betrayal, guilt, hope and redemption written by Khaled Hosseini. This book portrays story of Amir, a young Afghan boy, who grew up with his friend Hassan in the then peaceful Kabul, before the Russian invasion and subsequent civil wars.

The Kite Runner Book Review

While Amir belonged to a rich family, Hassan belonged to lower caste Hazara Community, who lived with his father Ali in the backyard outside Amir's father house. Although the true background of Hassan was later revealed in the story, which would leave the readers in a pool of emotions.

The book talked about Amir's relationship with his father, how he wanted his father to be proud of him, just the way he was proud of Hassan. Both the boys were highly competitive and excellent at flying kite. The story took a turn when during the Kite flying competition a traumatic event happened which made Amir betray his friend and left him emotionally wrecked and gradually separated them forever apart. The Kite Runner became a story of Amir's quest for redemption and correcting all the wrong he once committed.

Which character I loved the most?

The answer to this question is Hassan, a boy too pure for this world. For days, I kept thinking about him. I kept on pondering the fact that how he was able to forgive Amir? How he would have reacted had he known the truth about his existence and baba? All I know was that Hassan deserved way too much happiness, justice and a beautiful life.

Who should read this book?

This book is beyond any review. This book is perfect for anyone who wants to experience different emotions all at once. This book will definitely make you cry. It is a powerful book that shows both the ugly and good sides of the world and us human about our emotions of guilt and redemption. Hence this book is a must read.

"For you, a thousand times over"- Kite Runner Quote Meaning

"For you, a thousand times over" This quote has been taken from the novel The Kite Runner, written by Khalid Hosseini. This quote has been used by Hassan for Amir. For You, A Thousand Times Over To me this quote is about loving someone, to an extent that you are willing to do anything and everything for them, even a thousand times over. We often associate the word love in a romantic way, but love is diverse. The kite runner depicts love of Hassan for his brother/ friend whom he lovingly called Amir Agha. This quote talks about love in which we put someone else's needs before our priorities, one is willing to do anything for the other person. This love is boundless. But, what I also want to add is self love is very important. At times we give someone such high value in our heart that we totally forget ourselves, our needs, desires, dreams etc. Love should lead to growth. The love where only one person is giving and is willing to do anything is not right. Love yoursel...

Poem On Silence

Silence Silence Every heart bears a scar,  that bleeds in silence. Their mind is like in a constant war,  With all this violence. The smiling faces makes it hard to guess, That their thoughts are sad & lifeless. Soon a cocoon of darkness is formed, Being away from people becomes a daily norm. The bed becomes a friend, And roof your only sky. You wish whole heartedly that people wont pry. You try to see the light at the end of the tunnel, Hoping to get on track with proper will. But that ugly voice again comes in, Pulls you to a numb side where you have always been. Soon you do things to feel the pain, To just be away from that numb feign. But realizing that this is only illusion saves you, Its the mind that simply makes or breaks you. Thinking past the clogged thoughts brings new hope, The same person becomes a survivor that was nearly broke. -Amrinder Sometimes all we want is to find an escape, an escape from frustrations, hopelessness and disappointments.
