Poetry on Being Stuck

BEING STUCK The world is moving, but it feels I'm standing still, Just like a rigid and helpless hill. Which stands there unable to move, It got ideas that the world disapproves. But still it hopes for the best,  wishes for a happy sunset. The one where he is free from fears, Experiencing true happiness after many years. -Amrinder

Poetry On Little Do You Know

Little Do You Know poem on little do you know Little do you know how hard it is, to open up to someone. To state your fears just the way they are. & being accepted as someone. There will be long pauses, and judgmental looks. your innocence is seen as an act, & your kindness too being mistook. Soon you are laughed at all the fears you hold, all this changes you to sad and cold. You decide not to let anyone, see your broken side, In the end 'I will keep a happy facade', is what you decide. Sometimes it takes courage to talk about your insecurities and fears with someone. Some people listen to you with a kind heart, but at times there are people who laugh at the views you hold or your fears. This makes you decide that you should keep things to yourself. I do not recommend bottling up emotions, but one can try writing them down and letting those emotions out. If someone shares their worries with you, then be patient and understanding with them. At times people don't wa...

Poetry on Don't Test Me

Don't Test Me Poem on Don't Test Me Don't test me to see how I respond, I'll show my raw emotions. The ones that you may not like, But they will be true by every notion. Don't test me to see how worthy I'm, I'll happily walk out. I don't seek approvals, I have been this way throughout. Don't reach on conclusions way too soon, You'll make a wrong judgement. It feels weird explaining yourself again & again, which in the end leads to further detachment. Don't say things just for the sake of saying it, when you literally don't mean them. You are just increasing the distance, Making me feel further overwhelmed. At times we are tested by others. Remember testing each other don't leads to growth but only growth of negativity and fear. So when you feel that you are being tested just walk out. Addressing issues is good. One should be vocal about the insecurities they are feeling. But when you find yourself explaining yourself again and a...

Poetry on Dearest Best Friend

Dearest Best Friend Poem on Dearest Bestfriend We met in school, when we were simply fools. We shared and laughed, at our goofy talks. But then college life came, I became busy with my circle, & you too did the same. The distance between us increased, Even regular communication ceased. Regular texting became occasional, Even telling you something made me feel that, Am I being too personal? It feels as if we became strangers once again, We became completely different, hoping to stay the same. But I guess that's how life goes on, in the end we are all alone.  But I'll always hope the best for you. Like a beautiful jewel I'll always cherish you. & will wish to re-live that same silly phase with you,  If someday by miracle this wish of mine comes true. A bestfriend is one who helps us to get out of our shell, who listens to our silly talks and give us support. But with busyness of life that same friend becomes a stranger. It may be sad and heartbreaking to lose a pre...

Motivational Speakers that you should listen

It is often said that having a mentor is important. WHY? Because a mentor can see what hides within us and can help us to achieve our full potential. A mentor can help us get on our life path and serve our purpose. Today internet has made the world a global village. We can listen to great personalities, read books written by them and imbibe knowledge.  There are some great personalities whom I started listening a while ago and trust me when I say this, they helped me in looking life through a different perspective. I consider them my mentor. I think everybody should listen to their lectures and speeches. You don't have to listen to all of them, its a personal choice but what I would suggest is to atleast listen to anyone out of them. Sometimes we lack direction in life and I believe listening to someone who has achieved everything through their effort can help us getting that direction in life.  Motivational speakers that give life a direction Here is my list of motivational s...

Book Summary- The man who planted trees

The man who planted trees is a short story by Jean Giono. This story is about a shepherd who single handedly converted a deserted land into a new forest. Book summary of the man who planted trees Summary: The story begins when the narrator decides to take a hiking trip through provence and into the alps. On his way, he reached a deserted, barren area where hardly anything grows. Only wild lavender can be found in this region. On his journey, he runs out of water and his search of water leads him to a shepherd named Elzeard Bouffier, who gave him water and took the narrator to his cottage. Curious about his way of living and laconic tone the narrator decides to stay with him for the time. He gets to know that after losing his son and wife, the old shepherd decided to reside his life in solitude. He would separate good acorns from the bad ones and plant those on the barren land. This was his attempt to bring the dying land back to life. The narrator then returns to his home. During that ...

"For you, a thousand times over"- Kite Runner Quote Meaning

"For you, a thousand times over" This quote has been taken from the novel The Kite Runner, written by Khalid Hosseini. This quote has been used by Hassan for Amir. For You, A Thousand Times Over To me this quote is about loving someone, to an extent that you are willing to do anything and everything for them, even a thousand times over. We often associate the word love in a romantic way, but love is diverse. The kite runner depicts love of Hassan for his brother/ friend whom he lovingly called Amir Agha. This quote talks about love in which we put someone else's needs before our priorities, one is willing to do anything for the other person. This love is boundless. But, what I also want to add is self love is very important. At times we give someone such high value in our heart that we totally forget ourselves, our needs, desires, dreams etc. Love should lead to growth. The love where only one person is giving and is willing to do anything is not right. Love yoursel...
